Jay Pryor is a young DJ and producer from Dublin who has fast made a name for himself on the international stage with his high-octane DJ sets and breezy, catchy crossover pop dance releases.
If your first big break was a co-production with Steve Aoki on Louis Tomlinson’s smash hit single 'Just Hold On' you’d think you’d made it, but Jay seems to upgrade his goals daily. 'Just Hold On' has over 500 million streams worldwide and was a UK new entry at #2 and #51 on the US Billboard Hot 100 last December. The single also topped the US Billboard Dance Chart, went platinum in 13 countries and gold in another 13.
In 2019, Jay dropped his debut EP, ‘Finding Our Way’ which has racked up over 30 million streams to date. While its first track is a rework of Room 5's 'Make Luv', showing Jay's constant inspiration found in classic records, its title track is not only a collaboration with young US producer Steve James, but the EP is also a unique partnership and joint venture with Positiva Records (Virgin EMI) and Selected.
In 2020, still beaming from his ‘Sunset Sessions’, Jay positively utilised the lockdown with a string of well received DJ sets from his picturesque East London balcony whilst also using the time to continue pushing his craft and refining his sound. In August, he refreshed his visual brand and his sound, releasing a House inspired anthem – ‘Aside’ – signaling the next chapter in this young producer’s ascension.
